Should I match lipstick and nail polish colors?

With our guest Cécile, from the blog the confidences of Lizzie

matching lipstick to nail polish is a recurring interrogation. Is it a good idea to match the shades? Should the two makeup products be dissimilar? What is our opinion? We tell you everything:-)

Lipstick and nail polish, should we coordinate them?

Grant, it depends...

During the early 2000 years, the trend was to match. Indeed, many brands had launched the lipstick matched with nail polish. It was impossible to be mistaken : make-up products wore the same small names to avoid mistakes of tastes. Moreover, this has remained, since there are many assortments of red, rose or nude that share the same appellations.

But we are queens of the jungle, yes or no? The dictates of fashion is not our thing. The risk of matching its varnish to its lipstick is well known: a "monotonous" and uniform result far from being pimply. We wear lipstick one day, one hour, one evening, and our varnish will last four or five days. Giving them systematically does not necessarily make sense.

One exception: Red! Red Mouth, Red nails: This timeless look is a must, sophisticated without excess, undeniably chic. Now we understand you, it still works.

Tune to her look

If our lipstick varies, our overall look is probably more perennial. There are colors, materials that are good for us, that we wear regularly. It's probably more relevant toadapt our nail polish to our dress style

And then, as much as we will often confine ourselves to lipsticks beige, pink or red, as the palette of varnishes is infinite. You can vary the pleasures by daring new shades is fun. Why not get out of the comfort zone and enjoy yourself? Makeup also makes it possible to assume and dare. Associations can be crazy, what do you think? Red, Fuscha, blue, green, yellow, flashy violet: The varnish allows everything.

But we remain firm on the values

On the other hand, we don't let anything go. A Lipstick Green Must be associated with a natural varnish! With your all TIGERS, you always have to choose from the sublime ranges of Beautiful brands of green varnish. Our values, our beliefs are also carried by healthier compositions. If the varnishes cannot be labeled organic, they can (and should always!) be rid a number of very questionable components.

Is it worth remembering all The dubious ingredients in conventional varnishes ? We choose a vegan offer, get rid of ingredients of animal origin.

Once you've acquired it, you do what you want, as you want! To give her lipstick to her nail polish only if you wish and not to follow the trends, is to be an independent and glamorous woman! Live Fully:D

Give his varnish to his look

Nail polish is the final touch to make an outfit. It is granted to a discreet, elegant or downright rebellious look. The varnish is no longer neglected, it becomes a fashion accessory like a pair of earrings. The color of your varnish completes your outfit.

Your nails should ideally remember a color of your clothes at least, for example... The one in your purse! The choice of varnish is therefore important. The varnish (green, we said!) should be a quality nail polish, a well chosen tint to avoid a fashion faux not, a quality to the top for the outfit! For this, it is necessary to pay attention to the color but also to the texture of the varnish.

What are the colors of varnish to adopt?

For the spring/summer season, 3 colours are particularly popular:

-The red, timeless and terribly chic with a perfectly drawn mouth

-Coral, soft, fresh and natural, the Color of the year according to Pantone

-The pink flashy or fuschia, to give punch.

Yes As for lipsticks, this season, we find pep, pastel or chic. However, the trendy colors in this season are not the only ones you can choose from.

In fact, you can opt for a neutral, transparent or rosé nail polish. The nude rosé is ideal if you lack time to redo your manicure and add a hint of natural to your look. The French manicure, meanwhile, always cartons as much for a top finish.

staying in the same range of colors is comforting and low risk. Take the example of coral, if you wear a garment of this pastel color, put a color of the same family, that is a coral, but also a red or an orange on your nails. A winning and trendy mix!

Conversely, choosing completely different shades is a daring bet. To avoid a faux-step beauty, it is recommended not to mix cold, rather bluish tones, and warm tones, which contain a hint of red. Think!

You will have understood, choosing the right color of your nail polish is nothing wacky: it is enough that it is in your image. And we do not take the head (as long as the varnish is green! Yes I know, I insist).

The different textures of nail polish

If the color is essential for a defined and successful look, the texture of the nail polish is to be taken into consideration. It is found in natural varnishes as classics of mat, lacquer or pearl. The mat has become the reference for a natural varnish and an elegant finish. The shiny nail polish brings a discreet class note, finally the pearl is lighter, synonymous with summer and evenings.

Finally, should we match his varnish to his lipstick? apart from the red that gives a so glam ' side of the head to the foot, the answer is a big no. On the other hand, giving lipstick and nail polish to its general look is a great idea to be on top!  One thing is for sure, green on the lips as on the fingernails, that's what counts!

And you, do you match lipstick to nail polish? Do you like to Depair colors? What do you think of the trendy shades of this spring/summer?
